Bring me a book.

So although Kane is still mostly babbling, he is comprehending for sure.  He will throw away trash, put his dirty clothes in the hamper, and his most recent accomplishment is bringing us objects. So here he is exchanging one book for another.  We are in the living room and he will carry his book back to his room and exchange it for another book for me to read.  It's super cute.  Enjoy!

Superhero Kane

Kane has a onesie that has a cape so we decided that, if you have a cape you should be able to fly...

We have a walker on our hands!

So Kane has been taking steps for about a month now but during this last week he has really started to take off.  Before he would take steps, but once he fell, he would revert back to crawling.  He now chooses to walk and will pick himself back up even when he falls.  He does still crawl some, but it is more of a 50/50 split between walking and crawling.  He is so proud of himself and we sure are proud of him!

Today was unusually warm for January, close to the fifties, so we decided to take Kane on a hike near our house.  He loved it!  Although, he wasn't a fan of stopping to take pictures.  For this big smile I had to run in front of Jon and snap it as soon as the stroller stopped.  He did love all the rocks,  it made for a bumpy ride.

Basher managed to get out of his harness.  Twice!

With Basher on the lam, we left Kane in charge of holding Lucy's leash while Jon re-attached Basher and I snapped pictures.  He mostly just wanted to suck on the handle.

I see a lot more "hikes" in our future.  Kane really seems to enjoy seeing nature.  Can't wait to go camping this summer!

Dan's wedding

Over the New Year we went up to Bozeman, MT to see our friend, Dan, get married. 

Jon has known Dan since 1998 and I met him in 2001, when we were all stationed together in Korea.  He is a great guy and we were so happy to be able to make it up to see him get married.

Kane was looking especially handsome in his little suit.

Kane loves it when Jon turns him upside down, this was so cute, it was like he was saying, "I'm gonna get you!"
